 If you don't have a web site, you are considered backwards, small time, and … the worst is ... unprofessional. If you have one, but it's poor quality, then your business is perceived as inferior and..... Un-Professional.
So what determines if a web site is "poor quality"? It seems like "poor quality" would be hard to easily define... but its not.
1. Home Made Sites: are usually made with MS Frontpage, Word, or Notepad, by a novice with little to no graphic design experience or talent AND they are easy to recognize.
2. Poor Design: Anyone can tell the difference between a mule and a Mercedes Benz.
3. Poor Graphics: Images, Banners, Photos, Logos, etc.
4. Poor Search Engine Optimization: You can build the finest web site but if it isn' search engine optimized, it's like building a supercenter in the middle of the forest with no roads to it. Totally useless.
5. The message on the site is lacking.
6. Off the shelf templates are like tract housing. While it gets the job done it doesn't exude creative nor does it appear you spent any money or time on it.
7. Build your own sites - are absolutely ridiculous... You know the kind where you enter some words into some fields and then up pops a web site??!! These are WORSE than homemade. What do you know about SEO, Search Engine Rules, Content Requirements, Graphic design! READ I NEED CHEAP!
